Amar’e Stoudemire (1982): Stoudemire was drafted straight out of high school as the No. 9 pick in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. He took down Rookie of the Year in his debut season, spending the next eight years in Phoenix. Stoudemire signed with the New York Knicks as a free agent in 2010 and also had stints with Dallas and Miami before knee injuries forced him to retire in 2017. The big man made six All-Star appearances and averaged 18.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.2 blocks for his career.
Jo Jo White (1946): White was the ninth overall pick in the 1969 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. While he struggled in his rookie season, White went on to make seven consecutive All-Star appearances. He won two championship with the Celtics in 1974 and 1976 while also taking down Finals MVP in 1976. White spent time with the Golden State Warriors before retiring with the Kansas City Kings in 1981. The seven-time All-Star averaged 18.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.3 steals in his 10 years with the Celtics. All of that led to White’s induction to the Hall of Fame in 2015.
