New Delhi: Star India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant showcased his versatility by trying his hand at bowling during a recent net session. Pant bowled to fellow batter Sarfaraz Khan, with whom he played for India B in the recently concluded Duleep Trophy 2024 match against India at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The duo failed to perform with the bat in the first innings of the game as they fell for a single-digit scores. In the second innings, Sarfaraz and Pant scored 46 and 61 respectively and stitched a counter-attacking 72-run stand, which helped their team to reach a decent target of 275. It proved to be enough as India A got all out for 198 and lost the game by 76 runs.
An Instagram video gave a glimpse of Rishabh Pant’s bowling in the nets against his Duleep Trophy teammate. In it, Sarfaraz Khan faced a leg-spinner from Pant and defended the ball.

In a recent video on Tanmay Bhat’s YouTube channel, Rishabh Pant reflected on India’s T20 World Cup 2024 victory, emphasizing the need to move forward. While he described the win as an “unbelievable feeling,” Pant acknowledged that the moment had passed and shared his intention to focus on future challenges.
“As a cricketer, you dream of winning the World Cup. During the injury, I was thinking that I wanted to win the World Cup. To come back into the side and directly win the World Cup was an unbelievable feeling. I am not thinking much about it now because I feel in India, people forget after 10-15 days what you have done,” Pant Said.
“So, it is important for you to forget these things as well. That moment will always be there with me, but now we have to move on and focus on what’s next,” he concluded.
Rishabh Pant batted at No.3 position in the T20 World Cup 2024 and amassed 171 runs in eight games.
