New Delhi: Former India cricketer Parthiv Patel has been appointed as the assistant and batting coach for Gujarat Titans ahead of the highly anticipated 2025 IPL mega auction. Patel will be working closely with head coach Ashish Nehra, another former India teammate, in the team's support staff.
Parthiv Patel featured in 139 IPL matches before retiring after the 2019 season with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Over his illustrious career, he represented six teams—RCB, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians. Parthiv won the IPL twice with Mumbai Indians, securing titles in 2015 and 2017.
In addition to his playing career, Parthiv Patel has worked behind the scenes as a scout for Mumbai Indians and has taken up commentary post-retirement. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans have confirmed that Ashish Nehra will continue as their head coach for the upcoming season.
