New Delhi: Zaheer Khan, the former Indian cricketer, along with his wife Sagarika Ghatge and her brother Shivjeet Ghatge, has recently invested in a lavish apartment in Mumbai. This luxurious property spans 2,600 square feet and is situated in the prestigious Lower Parel area of Mumbai, often referred to as the "city of dreams." The apartment, valued at 11 crore rupees, was acquired in February 2025, as per Square Yards, a renowned real estate advisory firm. The firm has thoroughly examined the property registration documents to validate the transaction.

According to the statement, this property is located in Indiabulls Sky and was developed by Equinox India Development Limited. The apartment has a carpet area of 2,158 square feet and a built-up area of 2,590 square feet. It includes three parking spaces.

The deal includes a stamp duty payment of 6.6 million rupees and a registration fee of 30,000 rupees. According to the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Indiabulls Sky is a ‘ready-to-move-in’ residential project spread over three acres. The average price of resale properties in this project currently stands at 49,096 rupees per square foot.

The distance between Lower Parel and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is 18.3 kilometers via the Western Express Highway. Lower Parel is one of the upscale neighborhoods in Mumbai, featuring numerous quality residential and commercial spaces, as well as a variety of restaurants and corporate offices.

Before the IPL 2025 season, Lucknow Super Giants have appointed Zaheer Khan as their mentor. Previously, Gautam Gambhir served as the mentor for the team during the 2022 season. After his time with Lucknow, Gambhir returned to his former franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders, where he led the team to become champions. Since Gambhir’s departure, the mentor position for Lucknow Super Giants had been vacant.

Zaheer Khan, who has taken 311 wickets in 92 Tests, 282 in 200 ODIs, and 17 in 17 T20 matches for India, has married Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge. The couple tied the knot in 2017. Sagarika, known for her role in the blockbuster film “Chak De! India,” mentioned that there was a significant barrier of religion concerning their marriage. According to her, it was more of a concern for people around them than for her parents.
